Frequently Asked Questions

We know you will have some questions.
If your question is not answered here, do not hesitate to call or email. You will be most welcome.

We are the boiler and burner doctors. One name to remember - Ablaze Engineering.

Is my company part of your target market?

If you want to handle all of the complex combustion engineering aspects yourself and not concentrate on your own business, then probably not. If you want us to handle the engineering aspects while you concentrate on your own business, then most definitely yes!

How do I get started?

Contact us for a no obligation consultation to start with. If we agree, then we work out the scope; sign an agreement and get on with it.

What specialities do you cover?

We are in the large industrial sector. We cover any process that requires heat either direct or indirect. We supply, install, replace or repair. We offer preventative maintenance plans, breakdown maintenance service and component supply. We offer 24/7 support for our regular client base.

Where are you based and what areas do you cover?

We are based in Hobart, Tasmania, with 5 vehicles operating across Tasmania, from our headquartes in Hobart and also from Launceston. We also service Victoria and New South Wales, mainly outside the main metropolitan centres. We have 1 fully equipped vehicle at our base in Melbourne.

I've heard of Danfoss. How are you involved?

We have an agreement to supply the Danfoss range of burner products throughout the Commonwealth of Australia. This is in association with TWA of Tangerang, Indonesia. We are not tied to only supply Danfoss. We have the flexibility to recommend others based on price, client preference, fitness for purpose, availability and urgency. We do not supply any Danfoss products outside of Oil Pumps, Oil Nozzles, Oil Burner Controls, Ignition Units and Oil Preheaters. If you require supply outside the Commonwealth of Australia, we will refer you to TWA. If you are after other Danfoss products, we will refer you to Danfoss Australia in Dandenong, Victoria.

Do you have a guarantee?

We are in the business of minimising your downtime at your factory and premises. Each project comes with varying guarantees as often this can be dependent on the components selected. Always discuss this aspect with us. We will deliver what we say we will. If you are not totally satisfied, tell us. If you are totally satisfied, tell everyone.

Any testimonials?

Adrian Short, Assistant Terminal Manager, Puma Bitumen

July, 2017

"Hi Brendan, I would just like to pass on thankyou to you and your company on the level of service and commitment you made to the site over the last 2 weeks. The recommissioning went as planned I believe over all we ended up being about 3 hours longer than planned, this would not have been able to be achieved without the planning and communication that has taken place and the reliability of the group of contractors that we have. The contractors involved have worked at the site since commissioning in 2007 and this most certainly contributes to the success with each party knowing the others and we can all work in together. This also shows the level of trust that I personally have in the contractors as well.

The heater was successfully commissioned on Friday with the site being ready today to maintain operations, trucks have successfully loaded out this morning.

Please pass on my thanks to Grant, Brandyn and Mathew for their services."

Who is the Manager?

Pricing and Value

What's involved in hiring you?

After scoping out the agreed service to be provided, there is some simple paperwork. That means you know where you stand and we know what to do.

How much do you charge?

Many years of experience indicates that every job is different and requires a quotation and acceptance. Think quality at a fair price.

What am I buying?

You are buying minimisation or prevention of downtime at your business. And efficiency. And our 'know how'.

Will I get value?

That's the aim: to give value. Measured in absence of downtime. If your plant was down for one hour because of a breakdown and you lost $20,000 in production, that's the value. It's not the $1,500 you paid us, nor the $1,400 you might have paid to our competitor who caused you two hours down.

Payment Terms and Agreement

What are your terms?

Generally 7 days from date of invoice. Sometimes a deposit is required if big ticket components are involved.

Do you give credit?

Most assuredly not. Mastercard, Visa, cheque or bank transfer are our options.

Do you give a Tax Invoice? Have you an ABN?

Yes, we do issue Tax Invoices. Our ABN is 87 264 067 392.

Your brand, images and logos

Where did you get your name and brand?

The name "Ablaze" was selected as we cover any process that requires heat either direct or indirect.

Who came up with your logos?

The 2018 logo has been composed by our Webmaster to more strongly convey our message.
