Artec started the Kiln Project in January 2017. The first stage involved dismantling and relocating 2 kilns plus 2 .5mw gas fired boilers to its site at Western Junction. The kilns were then modified to suit Artec's requirements and the installation of the boilers in a stand alone boiler room. At this stage Brendan from Ablaze Engineering was engaged to recommission the boilers which involved a complete overhaul as all the wiring had been removed along with gauge glasses etc. The other phase of the project involved installation of gas from the tanks, all the associated steam pipe work for the kilns and a custom designed control system for the kilns. All this work was performed by Brendan’s work force who were all extremely professional in their approach to the project and the standard of work performed was excellent. The commissioning of the project was very smooth with only minor modifications required. Artec are very happy with the end result as this was a challenging project with a mixture of old and new items. Brendan and his team did a great job and Artec will be engaging Ablaze to perform routine maintenance on its 2 boilers.
